For Visitors

Opened in February of 2007, the Visitors Center provides visitors with valuable information about Houston and the Upper Kirby District whether relocating or just visiting.

Staffed primarily by volunteers, the Visitors Center offers an inviting environment to find out about what’s happening in Houston and other hot-spots in Texas, including Galveston, San Antonio and points in between.

Located in Summit Square at 3273B Southwest Freeway at Buffalo Speedway, just off of US 59, the center offers visitors directions, maps, and information on local attractions, dining, entertainment, lodging, shopping and much, much more.  Visitors can also stretch their legs, grab a cup of “courtesy coffee” and pick up brochures on any one of over one hundred attractions, destinations of interest or community events.

The Visitors Center also boasts an extensive Restaurant Menu Registry listing hundreds of restaurants and their menus, both alphabetically and by cuisine.  After viewing the menus and selecting a restaurant our friendly staff will make the reservations for you!

In addition to brochures, maps and information our center also offers a point of sale for the Metro Q-Card, as well as provides our visitors the opportunity to purchase a wide variety of post cards and merchandise.   

The Upper Kirby Visitors Center not only serves vacationers and visitors to Houston, but also serves local businesses by providing business owners the opportunity to distribute information on their businesses and facilities, as well as list their business and facility in our comprehensive Relocation Packets.
