Volunteer at the Upper Kirby Visitors Center

Thank you for expressing an interest in participating with the Upper Kirby Houston ★ Intown Volunteer Program.  Volunteers are a vital part of what makes the Upper Kirby Houston ★ Intown Chamber of Commerce so exciting and successful.  Volunteers donate their time and energy in a wide a variety of volunteer positions and in many different areas including the Visitors Center, Garden Center, Chamber office, Upper Kirby YMCA and during numerous special events throughout the year.

In order to volunteer with the Upper Kirby Houston ★ Intown Chamber of Commerce, applicants must:

  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Agree to a criminal background check
  • Agree to read and abide by the policies listed in the Volunteer Handbook
  • Maintain a customer friendly attitude
  • Maintain a professional attitude with visitors, fellow volunteers and chamber staff
  • Keep an accurate record of volunteer hours
  • Report on time and be prepared for volunteer service
  • Wear the designated uniform and/or nametag while volunteering
  • Notify Volunteer Services, in writing, of any change in volunteer status
